Powerhouse Late: Climate featured student and community-led workshops that navigated the role of visual communication and storytelling in responding to climate change.
The event brought together students from across NSW who had been working collaboratively to create a powerful and impactful exhibition exploring the climate crisis from a youth perspective, including student work from across Western Sydney University’s Visual Communication Design program.
Professor Pip Collin and Dr Michelle Catanzaro also facilitated a panel that interrogated the relationship between young people’s visual activism and climate politics, alongside outputs from their recent ARC-funded Discovery Project, New Possibilities, Young People and Democratic Renewal.
