We're delighted to share our work will be part of a soon-to-be-released bumper special edition of the Journal of Applied Youth Studies, titled "Youth Studies in Australia and the Climate Crisis: Time for Action."

In a context marked by seismic and overlapping social, economic, technological political and environmental disruption, children and young people have been demanding governments take urgent action to address climate change. Australia is an important site of research, making valuable contributions to youth studies taking place across the globe. The articles in the special issue look at a wide range of youth experiences and perspectives and provide insight into how a broader range of policy interventions can help to address the climate crisis, promote intergenerational equity and stronger societies around the world. 

Featuring 10 articles, many co-authored with young people, the issue provides valuable new conceptual and empirical work to guide those in power to respond more effectively and urgently to the climate crisis.
